These Terms & Conditions apply to all restaurant group bookings at Man O’ War. Unless noted otherwise, the following rules apply across all packages that include travel, dining and / or experiences.  Where conditions differ, for specific products or seasonal promotions, they are specified under the relevant product heading.

1. Deposits

All group bookings require a deposit to secure the reservation. 

Restaurant Group Bookings (set menu only): The deposit equals the full food component of your booking (e.g. 20 guests × $85pp = $1,700). This must be paid no later than 7 days prior to your booking. 

Day in the Bay packages: A 50% deposit of the full package price is required to secure your booking. The balance will be invoiced 14 days prior. 

Seasonal Package Promotions: A 50% deposit of the full package price is required, The balance, including any extras (increased numbers, canapés, oyster bar, wine tasting, etc.) will be invoiced 14 days prior. Note: Event Pavilion bookings require a minimum of 50 guests. 

2. Cancellations

Cancellation fees are applied to cover staffing, food preparation, and lost revenue from turning away other potential bookings. 

Restaurant Group Bookings (set menu only):

Cancellations/amendments are fully refundable if made in writing at least 48 hours prior. 
• 50% of food cost per person is charged if cancelled <48 hours prior. 
• 100% of food cost per person is charged if cancelled <24 hours prior or in case of a no-show. 
• Full refunds will be provided if your Explore Ferry sailing is cancelled or if we cannot accommodate you indoors due to weather (decision made 24 hours in advance). 

Day in the Bay packages & Seasonal Package Promotions:

You’ll receive a full refund if: 
• You cancel in writing 14 days or more before your booking date. 
• Your Explore Ferry sailing is cancelled
• We cancel your Forest Flight due to severe weather.
• We cannot accommodate you at the Tasting Room due to weather (due to limited indoor capacity.  We cancel your Forest Flight due to extreme weather conditions 

If you cancel 7–14 days before your booking, your deposit will be retained, and any balance paid will be refunded. 

If you cancel with less than 7 days’ notice, you’ll be charged the full package price based on your confirmed guest numbers or agreed minimum spend. 

3. Booking Adjustments

Final numbers for all packages must be confirmed no later than 14 days prior to your booking. Reductions in guest numbers are treated as cancellations under the above timeframes.  If numbers increase, additional guests are subject to availability.

Restaurant Group Bookings (set menu only): Adjustments to numbers may be made up to 48 hours before the booking. If numbers decrease, the difference between the food deposit and confirmed numbers can be credited toward your drinks bill. If numbers increase, additional guests are subject to availability. 

4. Drinks

Drinks are charged on consumption and can be settled in one of two ways: 

1. One bill per table – Full table service; drinks charged to a single tab. Payment is required at the end of your visit or via invoice by prior arrangement (settled within 48 hours). 

2. Individual payments – Guests may order and pay individually at the bar as they go. Please note this option does not include table service. 

5. Booking Process & Timeline

At the time of booking: 

• Confirm date, time, group size, and menu/package choice. 
• An invoice for the deposit (amount depending on package) will be issued.  

14 days prior: 

Day In The Bay packages & Seasonal Package Promotions:  
• Confirm final guest numbers. (Set Menu, Explore ferry tickets if applicable, Forest Flight if applicable)  
• Balance and extras invoiced  

No later than 7 days prior: 

• Confirm your food selections per your (options vary by menu choice).  
• Advise of any dietary requirements. 
• Confirm preferred drinks payment method (table tab or individual) Confirm and special requirements such as personalised menus and add ons?  
• For Forest Flight inclusions, ensure waiver forms are completed 

6. Forest Flight & Transfer Conditions

For packages including Forest Flight and/or transfers to and from MOW with our partners all usual Ts & Cs apply.  

Although Forest Flight Zipline is tailored for a range of ages and levels of fitness there are a few restrictions to be aware of:   

  • You need to weigh between 35kgs and 125kgs and be between 125cm and 210cm tall. For safety reasons, we’ll have to double-check. All guests will be discreetly weighed at check-in. Please note, we’re sorry, but if you don’t meet the weight requirements you won’t be allowed on the tour, and we won’t be able to refund amounts paid, as we’ve set aside the spot for anyone who has reserved a spot.   
  • You can’t be pregnant, suffer from any heart condition, have any broken, fractured or recently dislocated bones or have any previous back or neck conditions.   
  • You will not be able to participate if you are impaired by drugs or alcohol.   
  • Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by someone aged 18 or older.   
  • We ask that everyone participating be in generally good health - you must be able to walk and climb stairs unassisted and be able to carry your own equipment, which consists of a helmet, harness, and trolley (weighing 3kgs approx).  
  • Each person will be required to complete a waiver form prior to participation. You cannot complete a waiver form on behalf of someone else. 

7. Other Conditions

• If the Explore Ferry cancels your scheduled sailing, a full refund will be provided. 
• Wine tastings, oyster bar, canapés, and takeaway gifts may be added to customise your experience. 
• We can personalise a printed menu for the table – please let us know what heading you’d like (e.g., “Team Lunch”). 
• Final numbers must cover Explore Ferry tickets, Forest Flight, and set menus to allow for operational planning. 
• Guided wine tastings are charged on consumption and payable on the day. 

Seasonal Package Promotion 

• Event Pavilion is available for bookings, with a minimum of 50 guests (Christmas Package Promotion valid Mon-Thu Nov & Dec only)
